Van Hagye

Principal & Co-Founder 

Van is a Principal and Co-Founder at Zion Capital overseeing acquisitions, portfolio management, and investment management throughout the company. Since the firm’s inception, Van has directed the growth of Zion Capital’s portfolio to over 400 units totaling $70M AUM. Prior to founding Zion Capital, Van helped raise capital for other institutional sponsors across the US. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Van is born and raised in Austin, TX where he currently resides with his wife. 

Kyle Marcotte

Principal & Co-Founder

Kyle is a Principal and Co-Founder at Zion Capital overseeing acquisitions, portfolio management, and investment management throughout the company. Since the firm’s inception, Kyle has directed the growth of Zion Capital’s portfolio to over 400 units totaling $70M AUM. Prior to founding Zion Capital, Kyle raised capital for a private institutional investor in Los Angeles, and served as Asset Manager over $10M of capital. Kyle attended The University of California, Davis, where he also competed as a Division-1 athlete in Soccer. Kyle is a native Austinite and currently resides in the city with his wife. 

David Pine

VP, Investments

David is a VP of Investments at Zion Capital, where his main responsibilities include asset management, underwriting new acquisitions, and financial analysis throughout the portfolio. David brings a wealth of knowledge with him from his background in the valuation, financial services, and real estate industries. Prior to moving to Austin and joining Zion Capital, David worked at a Real Estate Private Equity firm in Denver where he led the revenue department. David holds a Bachelor’s in Finance from MSU, Denver.
